Appointments and promotions in the global market research industry

ALISON MORGAN has joined Peanut Labs as vice president of technology solutions and will take charge of market adoption initiatives for the firm’s online panel clean-up product, Optimus ID. She joins from research software company GMI where she was managing director of sales for the eastern US region.

Webster Financial, part of Webster Bank, has appointed executive vice president MICHELLE CRECCA as chief marketing officer. She will head all marketing operations including market research, branding, database marketing and product development.

TREVOR HUNTER has joined online retailer Digital Stores as marketing manager where he will assume control of customer insight and external marketing. He joins from Emap Advertising and has previously held positions at TNS and IBM France.

University of Iowa Health Care has appointed ELLEN BARRON to the newly created position of associate vice president for marketing and communications. In her new role she will lead market research, community outreach, branding and advertising efforts for the health centre.

RICHARD WALKER has joined Ci Research as a director responsible for public relations, marketing and brand development. He was previously a board director at Nunwood where he spent seven years.

Media watchdog Ofcom has named PETER PHILLIPS as an executive board member. Phillips, a partner at Ofcom, joined in 2006 taking control of market research, strategy, policy development and consumer policy.

CATHY SWIFT has joined Millward Brown as director of healthcare research. She joins from GlaxoSmithKlein where she was director of business and commercial analysis.

SHELLEY ZALIS, founder and CEO of research agency OTX has won the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in the online services category for the greater Los Angeles area.
